hand print
by covering my hand in pencil i made a full pencil hand print. I then drew over the lines to exaggerate the skins detail. extruding a line to a vanishing point changing the hand into a layered almost paper like structure. the lines have a very constricting nature about them a finger print is often shown to resemble peace but this feels more reaching. this could change dramatically dew to were the vanishing point is i could also try adding 2 or more vanishing points to different part of the structure.
like the triangle drawings its as much about the empty space as the form its self and i feel its worked best were dew to the hand not being flat there is gaps in the print where you can see inside the layers. maybe tomorrow a can experiment with the space between the print more.
this i feel would be a good thing to start with to make a music reactive piece and as the sound is made the individual finger print layers can be pushed back and forth (possibly with a bounce as well) to create the depth of sound effect. with the potential of adding more vanishing points and layering the lines i could begin to separate sections into volume and pitches a possibility.
