DAY 6 20/09/10
Measured drawing
The most challenging day so far. I grasped the concept of scaling and plotting but in practice it didn’t work as planed. The first object I chose to draw was a rusty sieve we were asked to draw it by eye first of this drawing really helped me relies the importance of measuring right from the beginning and after 4 scaled drawings I was getting pretty close to the right shape the angle of the circular object was incredibly challenging but I kept with it and think I’ve managed to get a near enough likeness. Simon said at the end of the day “you have to be prepared to rubb everything out and start again” something I was not throughout the next 2 hr drawing outside. The spot I chose wasn’t very good and I soon got board and stopped measuring. So, tomorrow I’m going to stick with it and keep the location exiting and hopefully pull through.
